    This class is aimed at introducing you to the basics of rowing. Whether you are looking to get fit, have fun or enjoy the beautiful Fox River, this is exactly the class that you’re looking for. Classes meet at the Telulah Park river access. The Fox Valley Rowing Club provides instruction and equipment. FEE: $75 for the Monday and Wednesday class, $65 for the weekend class.

    Mindfulness 201: When students practice mindfulness, it awakens their inner wisdom and awareness, yet it's easy to stop practicing - we often resist the very habits that bring us ease and healing. This second 5-week course re-establishes practices of meditation and mindfulness, and provides new instruction on self-compassion, inner-reflection, meditation, and everyday mindfulness practices. (*The course is reserved for people who've taken Mindfulness 101.)

    Boost for Summer: Summer is an abundant yet busy time. It's helpful to boost our inner resources before we enter the beautiful and frenetic summer season. This 90-minute mindfulness session provides a safe space to show up as-is, attend inward, and just be. We'll actively practice - meditation, reflection, and expressive writing - as well as discuss mindfulness for daily life. It's possible to bring more peace, ease, and happiness to the summer months. No special equipment, clothes, or experience necessary. Show up just as you are.

    About the teacher: Joy Jordan is both a teacher and student of mindfulness. She left her 20-year academic career, not knowing what was next. Now she lives, teaches, writes, and photographs through the lens of mindfulness.

    216401 - 9Round Kickboxing - 7 weeks

    9Round is a specialized fitness center for people who want a unique, fun, and proven workout that guarantees results. 9Round offers a kickboxing themed fitness program that incorporates a functional, interval, cardiovascular, and circuit training regimens. The programs consist of a proprietary system of nine challenging workout stations developed by a World Champion Kickboxer.

    Here's What You Can Expect:
    | Show up at your convenience; there are no class times
    | You're welcomed by a friendly, qualified trainer
    | Trainer wraps your hands for support when punching
    | Use heart rate training to stay in your target fat burning zone
    | Trainer shows you how to do each exercise based on your fitness level
    | Every three minutes, you move to the next exercise station
    | After station nine, your 30-minute full-body workout is over
    | Access 9Round Nutritional Guidance & one-on-one support
    | Enjoy a new workout every day (workouts change daily)

    Participants can come during any of the days or times set forth below up to 7 times. 9Round will have punch cards to track participant workouts. The last workout starts 30 minutes before we close.

    Yoga Kids PJ Party - Earth Day: Need a date night? Do you want your child to try yoga? Have your child/children join the fun! This party will include a yoga practice, yoga games and a snack. Your child will also participate in an Earth Day service project. Children should bring a water bottle, mat or towel and wear comfortable pajamas or clothes they can easily move in.

    Yoga is for everyone! For kids, it can help build strength, flexibility, balance and motor skills. It can also reduce anxiety. In this class, the children will learn yoga poses, breathing techniques, as well as being introduced to the practice of mindfulness all while having fun and learning more about themselves! Children should bring a water bottle, mat or towel and wear comfortable clothes they can easily move in.
